Martin Kus, MD, MPH

VICE PRESIDENT 

Dr. Martin S. Kus, MD MPH is the Vice President of Occupational Medicine for Next Level Urgent Care. He completed a fellowship in Occupational Medicine at Duke University in 2017and currently enjoys a position as an Adjunct Professor at the Duke University School of Medicine. His initial residency was in Emergency Medicine at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, in Virginia Beach, VA.

He has served with the U.S. Navy for 20 years as a Diving Medical Officer for SEAL Team EIGHTEEN, USMC 4th Recon, Underwater Construction Team ONE/TWO, and other special operations units.

Dr. Kus has unique insight into relevant factors of work injuries and the appropriate regulations, having spent two months in Washington, DC working for OSHA as a chief resident. Currently, he man- ages all of Next Level’s preemployment testing, work injury care, surveillance, medical certification, and virtual programs for employers.
