Martin Kus, MD, MPH, FACOEM

PRESIDENT 

Dr. Martin S. Kus, MD MPH is the Medical Director for OccMD and Corporate Remedies. He completed a fellowship in Occupational Medicine at Duke University in 2017. He currently enjoys faculty positions with the Duke University School of Medicine and with the University of Texas, Tyler School of Medicine. His initial medical residency was in Emergency Medicine at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, in Virginia Beach, VA.

He has served with the U.S. Navy for 20 years as a Diving Medical Officer for SEAL Team EIGHTEEN, USMC 4th Recon, Underwater Construction Team ONE/TWO, and other special operations units.

Dr. Kus has unique insight into relevant factors of work injuries and the appropriate regulations, having spent time in Washington, DC working for OSHA as a chief resident. Currently, he manages work injuries around the state of Texas through the various employers contracted with his organization. He is also the Medical Director for several Texas 504 networks. His vast experience representing injured workers and employers gives him unique insights navigating the work-injury realm while developing unique approaches and solutions to its systemic shortfalls.
