The Southern College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (SOCOEM) is recently founded dynamic chapter of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, representing the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. Our chapter serves over 400 practicing physicians, residents, and medical students across this region. comprised of eight different component states. And while our members live in a wide area, our office and organizational (510c3) status resides in Texas.
The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) is a national professional organization of physicians specializing in occupational and environmental medicine.
ACOEM provides leadership in education, research, and the promotion of the highest quality standards in the practice of occupational and environmental medicine.

I am honored to serve as the new President of the Southern College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (SOCOEM). I want to warmly welcome our newly elected officers and express my gratitude to our outgoing leadership for their dedication and service.
